WHAT IS REQUIRED TO RENT A CAR

For individuals:

• The passport
• Driver’s license
• Minimum driver’s age – 18 years (for VAN and Luxury cars – 26 years and minimum 3 years of driving experience). There is an additional fee for drivers between 18 and 21 years of age.
• Debit or Credit card (with Name of a main driver mentioned in car rental agreement)

For legal entities:

• Registration certificate
• Power of attorney from the organization to sign the contract HERE.
• Extract from the trade register
• Passport and rights for an employee admitted to driving a car

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL PRICE

• Includes technical inspection,
• Compulsory insurance (PZP),
• Emergency insurance
• Vignette for toll roads in Slovakia.
• The rental price does not include fuel costs, paid parking and fines.

PICK UP AND RETURN OF THE CAR

• The car is rented for a period of at least 24 hours.
• The Lessee is obliged to return the car to the Lessor with all accessories and documents, fully loaded, in good working order, in accordance with the condition recorded in the report at the time of taking the car from the Lessor, in a clean interior and exterior surface, taking into account natural wear and tear. If, upon return, the external condition of the car makes it difficult to inspect it, the inspection is carried out only after washing.
• The lessee takes over the vehicle with a full tank and is obliged to return it with a full tank.
• If the renter returns the car with a delay of more than 2 hours on the day of the end of the rental period, the delay is paid as an additional day.

INSURANCE

All vehicles have compulsory insurance and emergency insurance.

Basic accident insurance (CDW) and extra accident insurance (SCDW) do not cover damages caused as a result of a breach of the following conditions:

• All vehicles have compulsory insurance and emergency insurance.

• Basic accident insurance (CDW) and extra accident insurance (SCDW) do not cover damages caused as a result of a breach of the following conditions:

• Damage caused intentionally or as a result of gross negligence on the part of the driver.

• Damage caused by a driver who was under the influence of alcohol, stimulants or sedatives or was unable to drive safely.

• Any damage to the interior.

• Damage that is caused in places where the vehicle must not be driven (ford, lake, snow blockages, Grossglockner High Alpine Road etc), except for when the driver is forced to leave the main road due to a road repair.

• Any damage to mechanical parts and motorparts of vehicles
  not covered by insurance
  (inoperability caused by the
  lessee).

• Loss / dislocation of keys in the vehicle.

• Loss of documents.

• Using the wrong type of fuel.

• Tire damage.

• Theft of the car with documents and/or keys inside.

In the event of one of the above situations, all losses are subject to compensation by the Lessee.

In case of non-reimbursement of losses caused to the Car or third parties (their property, health, passengers) by the insurance company, when the refusal to provide compensation is due to the action or inaction of the Lessee, the damage caused to the Car, third parties (their property, health) shall be reimbursed by the Lessee.

The Lessor is not responsible for the damage caused by the Lessee to third parties who have suffered during the entire period of the Lessee’s possession of the Car.

In case of any incident, any loss, any damage, the Lessee must submit an act drawn up in accordance with the procedure established by law, as well as satisfactory information about other parties, participants in the incident or witnesses. The landlord is not authorized to accept claims submitted by any person.

In case of violation of the terms of the lease agreement, all losses incurred by the Lessor are subject to compensation by the Lessee.

TRAVEL ABROAD

The lessee is obliged to inform BARKRO about the trip abroad and the destination of his trip.

It is allowed to travel to the following countries (Zone 1): Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland.

For an additional fee, it is allowed to travel to the following countries (Zone 2):

Albania, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Monaco, Netherlands, Serbia and Montenegro.

For an additional fee, it is allowed to travel to the following countries (Zone 3):

Andorra, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Finland, France, Estonia.

Travel to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Turkey, island nations, and African countries is prohibited.

In case of offence against Cross Border Restrictions fine in amount cross border fee is provided.

For your convenience on our website you can order vignettes for travel on toll highways in Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Switzerland.

We would like to inform you that the validity of the Austrian vignette covers travel on all Austrian highways, with the exception of road sections for which a separate road toll is provided in accordance with the Austrian federal law on road tolls, as follows (In the photo below, these areas are marked in green “Streckenmaut”):

• A9 Pyhrn Autobahn including the Bosruck and the Gleinalm tunnel
• A10 Tauern Autobahn including the Tauern and the Katschberg tunnel
• A11 Karawanken Autobahn
• A13 Brenner Autobahn including the Europabrücke (Europa Bridge)
• S16 Arlberg Schnellstraße including the Arlberg road tunnel

TERMS OF CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION OF RESERVATIONS

The renter can cancel a reservation paid in full or in part no later than 48 hours before the start of the rental without paying a penalty. If the booking is canceled less than 48 hours before the start of the rental, a fee of 50 EUR or the whole price of rental if value is lower, will be charged.
