Minimum driver age – 18 years. There is adiitional fee for young drivers from 18 to 21 years old. 

BARKRO provides both flexible adjustments and cancellation free of charge for all our customers. Also our service provides unlimited modifications after confirmation, but at least 48 hours before the start the rental.

Reservations paid in full or in part can be cancelled by the Renter at least 48 hours before the start of the rental without penalty. If the reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours before the start of the rental, a fee of 50 euros or the full rental price, if less, will be charged. You can change your booking by calling +421951245740 or by writing to info@barkro.com. 

If you have entered your credit card details to guarantee your booking, you agree that we may charge a fee of 50 euros, or the full amount if less, to that credit card unless you cancel the booking and collect the car on the day of collection.

In our company we accept payment in cash or by debit or credit card. Deposit must be by credit card only. Deposit by debit card is possible for some car classes. 

Minimum rental period is 24 hours.

For individuals:

  • The passport, driving license, debit or credit card with the name of the main driver in the agreement

For legal entities:

  • Registration certificate
  • Power of attorney from the organization to sign the contract
  • Extract from the trade register
  • Passport and license for an employee admitted to driving a car.

Deposit amount depends on the car class. All information about prices and deposits you can see in our price list. 

Your deposit amount will be unblocked when you return the car.

Yes, our company provides free delivery within Bratislava on any address from 2 days rental. Additional fees to any locations you can see in our price list.

No, the person who is mentioned as a general driver in the car rental agreement and picks up the car must be the same person who pays with his own credit or debit card. 

Yes, if you have the option “Additional driver“ in your rental agreement.

In order to secure all monetary (payment) obligations to the Owner, the Renter shall leave a security deposit in the amount specified in the Contract when signing the Contract. If the Renter does not fulfill its obligations towards the Owner or fulfills its obligations improperly, the Owner is entitled to secure its claims against the Renter by means of a pledge.

The amount of the deposit can be transferred to the Owner by bank card. If bank cards are used, all or part of the payment amount is transferred to the company account number. When all of the Renter’s obligations to the Owner have been fulfilled, the refunds will be repaid in full or in part. If the Renter’s obligations exceed the amount of the pledged funds, the Owner has the right to direct the pledged funds in full to fulfill the Renter’s obligations and to demand payment of the uncovered part of the obligation. In the event that the Renter does not wish to provide the Owner with its credit or debit card details, the Renter acknowledges that the deposit in cash will be held for a period of 12 months from the termination of the rent, after which the funds will be returned to the Renter.

The lessee is obliged to inform BARKRO about the trip abroad and the destination of his trip.

Cross Border Rentals are allowed to the following countries (Zone 1):
Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain.

Cross Border Rentals are allowed with additional chargers to the following countries (Zone 2):

Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro.

Cross Border Rentals are allowed with additional chargers to the following countries (Zone 3):

Bulgaria, Great Britain and Romania.

Strongly prohibited to visit Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, island countries and all countries in Africa.

In the territory of countries (Zone 2 and Zone 3) SCDW insurance coverage does not apply and in the event of an insured event, the lessee pays a co-payment depending on the class of the vehicle. 

In case of offence against Cross Border Restrictions all protections lose their validity and fine in amount cross border fee is provided.

You should return the car to the location which is mentioned in your car rental agreement. The rental agreement is closed when you return the car to the BARKRO station and hand the car keys and car documents to our agent.

You get the car with a full fuel tank and you have to return the car with the full fuel level. Fines for unfilled fuel you can see here.

In the event of any incident, any damage, the Renter must submit a report drawn up in accordance with the statutory procedure as well as satisfactory information about the other parties, participants in the incident or witnesses.

Basic accident insurance (CDW) and extra accident insurance (SCDW) do not cover damages caused as a result of a breach of the following conditions:

  •  Damage caused intentionally or as a result of gross negligence on the part of the driver.
  •  Damage caused by a driver who was under the influence of alcohol, stimulants or sedatives or was unable to drive safely.
  • Any damage to the interior.
  • Damage that is caused in places where the vehicle must not be driven (ford, lake, snow blockages, etc). When the driver is forced to leave the main road due to a road repair, the insurance compensates the damage.
  • Loss / dislocation of keys in the vehicle.
  • Loss of documents.
  • Using the wrong type of fuel.
  • Tire damage.
  • Theft of the car with documents and/or keys inside.

In the event of one of the above situations, all losses are subject to compensation by the Lessee.

In case of non-reimbursement of losses caused to the Car or third parties (their property, health, passengers) by the insurance company, when the refusal to provide compensation is due to the action or inaction of the Lessee, the damage caused to the Car, third parties (their property, health) shall be reimbursed by the Lessee.

The Lessor is not responsible for the damage caused by the Lessee to third parties who have suffered during the entire period of the Lessee’s possession of the Car.

In case of violation of the terms of the lease agreement, all losses incurred by the Lessor are subject to compensation by the Lessee.

In the event of a traffic infringement, the Owner reserves the right to additionally invoice and demand payment and the Renter agrees to pay the traffic fine to the Owner’s account or the Owner has the right to unilaterally deduct the fine from the deposit amount as agreed without the Renter’s prior consent. The Renter is obliged to reimburse all costs incurred by the Owner, including operating costs (traffic fines, etc.).

The rental price Includes technical inspection, compulsory insurance, emergency insurance, vignette for toll roads in Slovakia. The rental price does not include fuel costs, paid parking and fines.

Daily limit based on the price tariff you choose. 

Smoking in our cars is strictly prohibited, including using electronic smoking devices.

In BARKRO there are no restrictions for pet transportation. In this way, please keep your attention on cleanliness and damage to the car interior. Otherwise there will be a penalty for cleaning. Also damaged interior is not covered by insurance.
